What is the Core Strength Class?
This is a 30 minute session of largely mat-based exercise with some great music. We work on strengthening, balance and toning. This is low impact, focusing on your form as opposed to repetitions. Engaging the core to support you stabilises your spine, therefore when your spine is aligned correctly when exercising, it brings huge benefits.
This session is packed with content to encourage strength and toning!

Do you need any experience, I'm not very fit?
Firstly, Zumba caters to all sorts of ages and capabilities, we have both men and women who come along from a huge range of ages, you won't be alone!
In terms of the Core Strength class - This is not an aerobic class, you will need a certain range of flexibility however the benefit of attending this class will increase your mobility, posture & muscle coordination. If you suffer from back pain, strengthening your core area will help when exercising correctly.

What equipment will I need?
For Zumba, a good pair of trainers, loose clothing and plenty of water!
And Core Strength - An exercise mat, preferably a Pilates style, as these are a little thicker. We are bare foot for this class
